My bed, my bed
It has no feet,
So in its' stead
There goes my sheet,
By night it's neat
By day it's not,
To stay still it
Was never taught,
How it walks
I do not know,
To new spots it
Will always go,
(I never thought
A thing like that,
Could have me brought
So off the bat,)
Why, one day
I might awake,
And have to give
A double take,
For I will see
A note for me:
"I do not mean
To let you down,
But 'till next week
I'm out of town!"
It has no feet,
So in its' stead
There goes my sheet,
By night it's neat
By day it's not,
To stay still it
Was never taught,
How it walks
I do not know,
To new spots it

interesting.
ReplyDeletei like that you added a picture by the heading. looks more homey that way.
It's based on the not-so-fictional...
ReplyDeleteI'm working on the blog layout, give me time.
I could use your help garnering more readers, though (if you're interested).
:) generally I dont like anonymous people, I think a name holds more weight. But I am always glad to help out a fellow blogger, especially one just starting out, and one who writes (gasp) poetry. I'll see what I could do.
ReplyDeletehow could it be neat at night but not by day? when you sleep in bed its not neat.
and what is up with your blog URL?
ReplyDeleteI'm in the habit of setting it before I go to bed... the perfectionist part of me.
ReplyDeletea true perfectionist would make it right after they get out of bed in the morning. not before they get into it at night.
